Joel Comino - Founder of Next Modular

Joel Comino is a long-time manufactured housing professional whose career
spans renovation, development, construction, and ownership. Early in his
career he personally renovated mobile homes, as well as bought and sold
mobile home parks. Since founding Next Modular in 2015, his sole focus has
been on the modular home industry; Joel has built hundreds of modular homes
for individual homeowners, investors, and non-profits. As the founder of
Next Modular, he has done every job as the company has grown; from taking
inbound leads and drafting scopes of work to managing site crews,
coordinating factories, overseeing budgets, and resolving field issues.
 
These days, his time is now best invested in casting vision for the future,
and recruiting and building leaders within the company to execute on that
vision. This full-spectrum experience gives him a rare, practical
understanding of how manufactured and modular homes are actually delivered,
from dirt work to final walkthrough, all across Indiana, Michigan, Ohio,
and Illinois.

Recognizing the lack of transparency in the industry, Joel pioneered the first fully transparent turnkey pricing model on his website, making real-world project costs publicly accessible on NextModular.com. Many of his competitors have since followed suit, validating Joel’s belief that the market yearns for true transparency. His leadership philosophy centers on operational precision, setting clear up-front expectations with the customer, and building long-term trust with every client; what he refers to as the “Only-Customer Experience.”

Focused on raising standards in the factory-built housing space, Joel is actively expanding Next Modular’s Turn-key services across the Midwest and into the eastern United States, with the goal of bringing disciplined execution and transparent pricing to a broader market.
